After joining Doubleday Interactive Hayes established the Interactive Creative department with 2 staff and grew it to 21. The department was a key player in driving Internet sales, which increased from $50M to $400M in a six year period. The company now had over 30 e-commerce properties, some are: Book of the Month Club, Literary Guild and Doubleday Book Club.
Hayes’ earlier experience was in publishing as an Art Director and Illustrator working for Time Warner, McGraw-Hill, Scholastic and CMP Publications. Prior to his career Hayes received a BFA at Maryland Institute College of Art. He has had many art exhibits at galleries on the east coast.
